Primary Advisor

The VLST Program Director, Professor Errol Lord, and Associate Director, Ian Verstege, are the primary advisors for all Visual Studies majors. Applicants to the major must see either of them to complete the declaration process. They are also responsible for certifying the completion of major requirements for graduation, arranging the senior seminar and approving faculty advisors for the senior project. They can answer all questions concerning which courses can be counted toward the major. 

Prof. Lord's office hours change semester to semester. You may email Prof. Lord directly for an appointment ([email protected]).

Sector Advisors

Both prospective and declared majors may seek advice on course selection from the Program Director and the various sector advisors:
